About J.D. Miller

J.D. Miller is a Certified Financial Plannerâ„¢,
a Chartered Financial Consultant, and a Registered Investment Advisor
who has worked in the financial services profession since 1986. J.D.
provides broad-based financial planning and consulting for both businesses
and individuals. His areas of specialization include pre- & post-retirement
planning and investing, estate preservation and growth, and personal
financial management.
J.D. is a prolific presenter who conducts seminars
in conjunction with educational institutions and non-profit groups
as well as for various employers. He has served as facilitator for
various courses for the Life Underwriter's Training Council. J.D.'s
expertise in the charitable giving arena is demonstrated by his work
in charitable giving to benefit churches and other non-profit organizations.
J.D. is a published author of numerous articles pertaining to financial
matters and he continues to grow professionally as a member of the
Financial Planning Association.
J.D. resides in Grand Junction, Colorado
with his wife Donna and their Border Collie SAM. He is the father
of four and grandfather of seven who travels frequently to maintain
close family ties. J.D. served in the United States Army with the
101st Airborne Division. His interests include family, outdoor activities,
reading, photography, shooting and spectator sports. He and Donna
are active in their local church, and have held memberships in the
Associated Builders and Contractors Western Slope Division, Mesa
County Association of Realtors, the Grand Junction Lion's Club and
the Home Builders Association of Northwestern Colorado. J.D. participates
in the Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity
of Mesa County.
